It says it in the title of the article.
Does this mean that my 2009 R3 is covered for 100k miles? it's late. i'm confused.

It looks that way from the article. I have this press release (attached) that only lists the 2004-2008 cars covered. They made changes to the 2009 engines and I didn't know that they extended it on the 09+ engines also.

If that's a real press release than it certainly sounds like you get 8/100K on core engine components.
Too bad about the reduction a couple years ago from bumper to bumper 4/50 to 3/36. I found a lot of things went bad in that year between 3 and 4 that were fortunately covered under the warranty.
