If the RX-8 fails commercialy that will also kill all hopes for a new RX-7 and any revisions to the RX-8 platform...wich would suck! The new RX-7 is rummored to have a 1.6 L Supercharged 3 rotor..

 

I'm also an October sale. To date, I've seen exactly ONE other RX-8 on the road -- right before I bought mine. I'm looking hard too. Being unusual was one of the reasons I broke my plan to buy in the spring. I want this car to do well, but I sure like having people ask me what the heck I'm driving. I expect next summer they'll be everywhere and, on balance, that will be a good thing for all of us.

 

One of my friends (a Mazda enthusiast) bought one, haven't seen his other than in pictures. I know I've seen at least one several times, and I think I might have seen one more.

I saw one on the road in Japan, but that doesn't really count.

 

May I add: September-February are SUCKY months for wholesale business. THEY SUCK!
