Yes we know the red-line of the new 16X was going to be lower but we really love the high rpms.
I thought it looked like the next RX-8 when I saw it too. My fifth RX was a white 79' RX-7. I loved every thing about it but the 12A engine. After putting 120K miles on a RX-4 with a 13B it was hard to give up all that power. I think I will get White......

It looks much better in the video than it does in the images. I like it now, some how now it looks more of a luxury design than a run of the mill off the shelf. I still don't like the center console thing just to strange for me. I hope that design language does not resonate to the production vehicles. The other thing I would slightly change is the fog light or parking lights on the far corners of the front bumper, to much angular design thrown in with a lot of nice curves.

UMM..this is NOT RX-8 Media News???
The 'Shinari' is NOT a Rotary, but a 2.0 4 Banger..
Plus this Video was posted in GENERAL AUTOMOTIVE days ago.....

why? all they needed this car to do was drive around for promotional shots/video. they didnt even show the engine to anyone and didnt discuss it. they whole point was to lay out a new design theme, having any other engine in it would have had the journo's talking about the performance of this particular car which would not serve the intended purpose.

Then you know it would be the new release of the production sports car.

Major flaw in the Shinari video!
Anyone notice that towards the end when they drift the blue one and drive it hard there is a shot of the tack/speedo and you can see how the needle moves when they rev the engine, yet the speedo remains at 5mph! What gives? Broken all ready?
Just wanted to point that out. (nothing better to do)
