No, I'm gonna wait for more pictures... but I think the secondary air intakes on the front could be just a little too big.,.. have they over tweaked it?

I really don't like the turn indicators, and it's a shame about the mirrors... otherwise... well, I'm not convinced... Like I say, I'll wait for more pics, but I _think_ they ruined it!

edit:-

Somone said that was harsh... but this is that I think FROM THAT SINGLE PICTURE ONLY....

I really don't like the way the ancilary intakes are bigger than the headlights... or the way they nearly touch the main intake.... I'm also not sure about the now almost non-existant break between the main intake and the front defuser...

Mabe it will grow on me...

peering closer... the problem might have a LOT to do with the picture being too dark... I'm gonna have to wait and see...

I like the larger intakes. The car look much more serious, even if the front end always looked like it was smiling at me. :D The curves, creases, all are much more pronouced and bold. I like it. A lot.

It is a shame about the mirrors. I wish they would have kept that and the grills on the hood. Oh well, it's still a beautiful car.

Here is a picture without the plate in the front grill, MUCH better:

As for all the critiques of the side marker: I don't like it either. But in North America we rarely get the same exterior lighting as Europe does, so maybe it won't make it here. Side markers aren't a requirement in NA. That said, if it does make it into production, it won't be a deal-breaker for me.

Wow... I thought I liked the RX-8 in the middle there but it does look a whole lot better without.

Also I'm not sure the the ducts are quite as bad as I thought...

Still need more pics... Trying to see the back, did we loose the nice boot lip too, or is that just too far out of sight?

This pic might just have changed my colour choice... get a darker colour so it doesn't exagerate the bigger ducts!

I think the rotor cutouts in the seats have gotten the ax.

This car is going to look great in black or dark dark blue...

I guess they moved the side markers to the fender since it's easier for people to see when you're about to cut in front of them. You obviously can't see the maker blinking on the side mirror, and if you're right next to the car, you can't see the rear blinker.

Maybe that's why so many german cars have a little blinker on the side.

I agree with the mirrors. They should be completely painted in, or at least have the black plastic minimized.

And how about a nose mask with teeth sewn in? :D

The article says, 9000 rpm redline, with a warning buzzer at 9500 (real redline). This should mean the fuel cut isn't til close to 10,000

Unfortunately the US requires amber reflectors in the front somewhere. Red reflectors are required in the rear.

The amber lights in front could be built into the headlamp housing.

I'm a little discouraged about the markers, which I do agree ruin the lines a little bit.

Does the car look less "sleek" to anyone? Though from a distance it definitely has a meaner look to it.

I agree about the black mirrors being body color. That would probably look a little more upscale. Can anyone photoshop that?

Boowana, any more you can add?

Glad to see you guys think the rotor-in-the-seats made it in. I honestly couldn't tell.
For those who want clear sidemarkers: Wait about 5 minutes after the car comes out, and you'll be able to get them anywhere. :D
Body colour mirrors would have been nice, but there is an easy solution: Buy a black car. Seriously, take it to a bodyshop and for a couple hundred dollars they should be able to paint that black bit for you body colour. I did that with my current car myself, it was easy.
Can anyone photoshop that pic and make the car different colours? Drk. blue and black maybe?

Yep, I agree with all that...

It won't stop me having one, only minor cosmetic issues... but the indicators (markers, turn signals, whatever).. are a let down. It Might make me get a darker colour though.

I still need to see more pics, but you've hit the nail on the head for me... the more agressive look seems somehow to take away from the sleek look at the front... If it's needed for better cooling that's different of course...

There also seems to me somthing weird going on since the car doesn't seem to be sitting flat on the tarmac... I can see under it, which is surely wrong? Although the wheels do seem to be sitting satisfyingly high in the arches....
