Mazda Displays the World's Longest Advertisement in Tokyo

Tokyo (JCNN) - Mazda Motor (TSE: 7261) has created the world's longest poster advertisement of its newly released vehicle Premacy for display in the Art Road, an underground walkway leading to the Tokyo Station, from February 15 to 28.

The 311mm-long ad features sixty family portraits that were taken by Kishin Shinoyama, a well-known Japanese photographer who himself is in the picture.

Mazda will seek for an official recognition at the Guinness Book of Records as breaking the Rome's current recognized longest ad, which is 274m long.

 

You would think all their cars would be in the add, but the article mentions 60 family portraits. I wonder who these families are? Mazda owners?

I'd like to see this add too. We need someone who lives in Tokyo (EASTMOON?, Japan-8?) to snap some shots. I'll be in Tokyo in early March, but it seems the add maybe taken down by then.

EDIT: I take that back, since the add is for the new Premacy car/van, I'm not so interested in this add after all.
