Isn't Castrol Syntec a type 3 oil in which it was found to be partially synthetic anyway?
I just recall there's synthetics... and then there's 'Full Synthetics'. So that would lead me to believe there shouldn't be anything wrong with running a Syntec, in which it more closely resembles the dino stuff than the full counterparts.

Thanks though, I'm surprised a simple change of oil is actually noticeable in high horsepower applications, when the oil is burnt off anyways.
Pics from NAIAS
Pictures from NAIAS. I love the rotor-shaped exhaust and tow hook on the rear. The wheels appear sculpted to draw air in through them to the rotors, however they were the same wheels on both sides of the car.

Pics from NAIAS part 2
More pics from NAIAS. The Furai is absolutely beautiful in person. Mazda must have spend a fortune on this car. You can see the roof scoop raised in one of these pics. You can also see part of the steering wheel. The top surface of the rear wing is also quite complex. Many of the "vanes" have LED lighting in the leading edge, both on the front and side of the car.

Final pic from NAIAS. The sculpting on this car is phenomenal. PIM me if you would like any of the full-resolution JPGs (~2.6 MB each)

that is without a doubt the best looking car I've ever seen, it reminds me of the pagani zonda, but with more aggresion and malice in the face. This thing looks like an assasin.
we'd never see it made in it's present form tho, the front end is a pedestrian killer... Altho anyone who got run over by it would die with a smile on their face to see such a monster.
I'll have mine with a supercharged 26B in it please.

if you read the press realease it is clear thgat this car is prototype for the future Lemans race car, in 2009 all LMP1 have to be close copit and resemble a street car from the manufacturer, so this is the future of mazda racing and also the desing direction for mazda's street sports cars
for example this is a possible chevy desing
