Mazda Commercials on "Marketplace"
This may be a little off topic.
As I was driving in this morning, there was an ad on my local NPR (KUT) station for tonight's (29 January 2004) Marketplace show. They're featuring advertising that may not be working and the featured ad is Mazda's "Zoom Zoom" campaign.
In the preview clip, they interviewed a man who says, "I hate those Zoom Zoom commercials and that little kid in the suit. I've sworn off buying a Mazda because of that commercial."
Too bad for him!

Exactly.
Ah, the Yugo. When they went under, the local Ford dealer in my hometown (who was the Yugo dealer) offered a "new" Yugo with the purchase of any new Ford. They ended up scrapping most of the Yugos. :D

Don't you just love it when folks that have nothing else to do think they know what the public is interested in? Hell, if it ain't working, then Mazda will pull it, you can bank on that! Maybe ther're just jealous since their lives are devoid of "Zoom-Zoom".

I have the same sentiment about lame comercials and the damn tunes that wont leave your head but you can't beat the 8. I have 6 CDs to chose from to eliminate the zoom zoom tune while I am zoom zooming.

I have seen commercials during Sunday night football as well. Frankly i was getting pissed off at the zoom-zoom commercials, obviously not enuf 2 forgo buying the 8 though. It seems that recently there has been less of the zoom zoom, like i don't remember much about zoom zoom in the mazda3 commercial, and i don't remember much in the 8 commercials that i saw. Glad they r finally stopping it, or so it seems.
