Job one was completed at 8:00 am JST on Monday Feb 17th in the Ujina No.1 Plant in Hiroshima.

"The first vehicles off the line today will be sold in Japan, with production of models bound for North America and Europe to commence in mid-March and mid-April respectively. The RX-8 is scheduled to hit showrooms in Japan this April."

i dunno if that would really bear any meaning to the mass of the N America production cars, as it's a Japanese spec one... of course it'd give us a good idea, but if it'll fluctuate more than 50lbs, it really doesn't tell us anything we don't know... 2900-3000 lbs.
