I went to Hot Import Nights tonight. I also went last yeat, and it was a blast. Anyway, I was very dissapointed in the 8's that showed. One was bone stock...That's great and all, but this show is for typically modified cars! The other 8...an exhaust and rims, and subs in place of where the back seats used to be. Then, I hit all the rooms and expect the Vivid Racing Pepsi Rx-8 to be in the main show room. Nowhere to be found, even though I read that it's on tour w/ HIN. Don't know what happened there, but that dissapointed me.

Ahh man thats too bad. I wish I could have my 8 ready for when HIN comes to Vegas. But I too hope to see some 8's there

 

this thread makes me want to enter my 8 into HIN, but that would involve registering and probably doing more stuff, meh... too much work.

negative, the showing part is way more fun than all the cheesy money grubbing attention *****-girls at those shows.

What is the point of people putting in stock cars at a car show like why waste all that money on registering when your car is straight from the factory like atleast throw some rented rims or a new shift **** like GOD what is this world coming to!

 

Yeah, I went to an event just yesterday and thought to myself... damn, am I getting older, or are all these kids and so-called models getting younger? Anyway, there were NO RX-8s (or even rotary cars) at any car show event in my city for the past 2 years. I'm sure if I entered, I would of won by default! haha

I'll be going to HIN in Indiana this Saturday. Hopefully there'll be some decent rotaries there. If not there's always Chicago on the 29th or maybe Orlando. I'll have to see how this one goes first.

 

HIN is in this area July 8th. My Birthday. I'm hoping they stepped it up a little bit from last year though, as far as the 8's go. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

 

car shows itself are overated! I've been to the very first import showoff, and the first hot import nights, it keeps getting worse and worse, endless money pits going to no where. "Show cars" are the worse, most of them are not driven, have 10's of thousands of money dumped into it, only to be sold for less than 1/3 of the cost of the car and parts.

It's like walking through a super street magazine with all those ads. I'd much rather go to a detroit auto show or any international auto show.
