I wonder how much of the body panels will fit on current RX-8's without toooo much bodywork.

Those wheels are damn sexy but knowing Mazda they'll cost an arm and a leg.

This is a nice edition for those in Asia, Europe and Australia...but no way that this is going to be what the US version looks like.

I think Mazda did a wonderful, almost perfect job in updating the car. It is nice to know that they went in the right direction on most things.

I like the redesign but I'm wondering how the paint on those sharp edges near the bottom of the front and around the oil coolers will hold up to debris strikes. Hopefully you won't see tons of chipping.

and leesha - g6? the front doesnt look anythign like the g6.

g6= divided grill between the headlights and second lower divided grill

rx-8 = single grill opening below headlights book ended by oil cooler ducts

the headlights are even shaped differently

the clock buttons are where the MD/Cassette deck modules would be in the center console's big circle...

maybe they did it for that 1980's retro look? lol

Point is it looks similar and more like a sedan and not as sporty as our RX8's...

It must be a more powerful engine - look at the tripometer - only 3 miles for 3/4 of a tank of gas!

i would say the car is a hit with some minor things to complain about but some good changes as well i think the car has more of an era / fad look to it but mazda has come through...just wait till the new design language is applied!!

Interesting, there appears to be a key in the ignition. Also noticed they went back to the opaque windshield washer fluid container.

One other small detail I don't think was mentioned. It looks to have actual padding the front door elbow rests. In fact, that whole piece is reshaped a bit. The rear airbags are gone? I don't see the SRS stamping on the C pillar. I guess with those Recaro seats the side airbags are gone too.

Overall, i think it looks super cheesey. Looks like a cheap car trying to be more than what it is.

The only thing i like are the Recaro seats. The tail lights are nice too.

Maybe the American version will be an MS version... ^I agree... The RX8 has a personality of its own but the new verison seems to just blend in with all the other cars...

No sir, I don't like it.

Looks like it was designed by a blind man. Front end looks like it has a massive underbite.

I do like those seats though and the wheels.
