"When we've brought good products, they have caused some level of dissatisfaction because of the way we've brought them to market and not adequately listened to the North American consumer," Parker says.
well someone over there is finally listening! keep this guy Mazda. one of the worst things you continue to do is bring great cars to the market but then package them in rediculous ways that agrravate consumers and turn many of them away! This guy is on the right track. Mazda if you read this just for instance the whole US GT and Touring package where you HAVE to get a moonroof when in Canada you don't have to get the moonroof in leather if you don't want it. also search here for reactions from many of us to the Mazda6 packages when first announced and refer to our emails from then on the subject. we know you read them becasue you then changed the packaging to somthing more bearable. also read posts by Rich about his effort to buy a miata.

Its about time--Mazda comes out with excellent designs and then doesn't follow through. My mom use to have a 1995 929 and I've had a 93 RX7 and two Millenias--all of which discontinued mostly due to Mazda's lackluster marketing and unwillingness to adjust to meet competition; of course the 3rd gen RX7 was killed in the U.S. due to other issues not attributable to Mazda.

. I remember when I got my 8, there were so many cars with the GT Package that had a moonroof, spoiler, NAV; it had all the stuff I didn't want. I went home with the Base model, not only because that was all I could afford, but it was a far better package than the GT. Also, Mazda needs to be honest with its power ratings, or it's going to drive away even more potential buyers. Nevertheless, I am glad Mazda is going to take its marketing skills to the next level. I wonder what this could mean for the lineup, especially our RX-8. Factory turbo perhaps :p ?
Looks like this guy is on the track. In past, Mazda had a reputation of having great engineering and great products but with very poor executions. Hopefully this new guy will turn things arond.
