I use mine as my daily driver, but I will be using it for much more once I start modding it.

 

It's a good everyday car, it likes to do what you say, and be cooperative.
The gas milage is a little lower then I had hoped, but still a really good car all together for everyday driving.

I like my 8, don't get me wrong, but if I had another garage spot and extra money laying around to spend, I would definitely have a different daily driver. Something a little bigger, more luxurious, and with an automatic tranny.

In my opinion, this car is not the most comfortable thing for the daily commute to work and back.....especially when you sit in stop-and-go traffic like I do most days. The car is fun to drive when you can hit some nice winding hilly back roads and have fun with it, but for the daily highway haul to work and back it is just not the best choice. I still find that after about 10000+ miles on my odometer that I am still not totally confident that I'm not going to hit somebody in my blind spot.

I think I would have a different opinion if I did not have to deal with such F&^k'd up traffic on a daily basis. I think I would love to drive the car every day if I was not on somebody's bumper in front of me the entire trip to and from work.

 

Im feeling you... Two hours+ a day, five days a week. I sit there so pissed off at the mongo SUV in front of me just hoping for a spot to open her up. But because I knew what my commute is (and because my wife wanted me to...) I got the AT. It sucks at times but you cant beat it in traffic.

With all that said, I cant think of another vehicle Id rather drive to work. Except for that Aston Martin in my dreams:p
