Arrow YEAH, PROUD OWNER OF NEW RX8, but.....

need help and suggestions on the following items:

Altough I read most of the thread on this board, still not too sure about the following items:

1) What is the best way to improve the MPG?
2) When should I get my first oil change done, and what type of oil should I be using? How much does the dealer charge for the oil charge?
3) I got the Dunlop SP Sport 8090 tires as the OEM, how good are they?
And how do they compare to the Bridgestone Potenza RE040?
4) As suggestion as to how and what light buld I should get for the fog lights? I am thinking about the PIAA H11, any other idea? And how about clearing the corner?
5) What is the fast and easy way to play the IPOD sound on the car's stereo?
6) I am thinking of getting the OEM spolier, is it really worthed the extra $500 installed?
7) In the morning, how long should I warm up the car for?
8) Since this is a 'high REV' car, what is the normal 'REV' for this car?
9) I already have a broken key, is that under the warranty?
10) The car was made in Sept-05, so I am assuming there shouldn't be any recall issue, right?
11) Lasly, what is the upgrade that you guys would recommand?

Thanks in advance for you inputs.

Question Mileage....

How can you be complaining about the mileage - you haven't even used the FIRST tank yet?

1. Shift under 3750
2. Manual says 8000km here in Canada, I did mine at 4000km (4 months came first)
3. You got great tires, congrats... you must have gotten the NAV (they seem to go hand and hand w/05's)
4. I kept the stock fog bulbs
5. There is a kit, check mazdaparts.com
6. Matter of taste really, I personally like the non-spoiler look or the euro spoiler (although it is hard to get here, if you have winning blue, I think rosenthal mazda has one left www.finishlineperformance.com)
7. Much debate on that one, I warm it up until the needle moves above the bottom of the gauge and then take it REAL easy till it warms up
8. I usually rev to 4-5 on normal shifts - cruise around 3
9. Key should be under warranty (unless it looks like abuse)
10. Mine is 05, and I had to get the thermal recall done. You would too, but it should already be done by the dealer
11. I like the Sirius sat as an upgrade (depends on your local stations), performance, the Revi intake and the Mazdaspeed sports exhaust.

I have an 05 with Dunlop's and do not have NAV. This is the first that I heard that they go hand in hand. I thought it depended on build date, that the Bridgestones were phased out in April and anything built after had the Dunlops. Does anyone know the real story???

Thanks for the info., as for the recall, how can I find out whether it's done or not?
So I gueess the Dunlop tires are not bad then, I didn't get the Nav model, maybe becuase the car has a built date of 9/05, so I got the Dunlops.

Thats funny, I just assumed that because the dealer I bought mine from had almost 8 RX8s in stock. Only the 2 NAV cars had the Dunlops. Must have just been a coincidence, the build date makes a lot more sense.

SRX8, call Mazda and they'll tell you if the recall has been done (you'll need your VIN)

If you put the car on a motorized treadmill, you could run the odometer up to infinity miles while using 0 gallons of gas. That would give you undefined mpg.
