NC Xcarlink install in an AT

Going to install the xcarlink ipod adapter tomorrow in my 05. I've searched the DIY and found the threads and pix and links to pix and video. But thought I'd check to see if there is anything different to look out for on an AT model since the DIY thread, pix, and video show it done in a MT model. Anything different that I should be aware of?

Also, not sure I want to go to the cup holder area but most of what I find shows wiring it from the glove box. That's probably what I will do because my goal is to keep my daughter's hands and eyes where they should be when driving the car and not on an ipod. But, just in case, does anyone have any hints about running the wire to the console instead or any pros or cons to doing so? Other than, it seems to me, you'd have to give up both cup holders in order to keep an ipod touch there.

I don't know much about the install but the ipod touch shouldn't take up any more than 1 cupholder slot. My 30gb Zune fits just fine in the rear cupholder using a belkin itrip wired to the lighter in the armrest compartment.

I went ahead and installed it in the glove box tonight. The main thing I encountered on the AT was that I needed to move the shifter down to get enough clearance to pull the head unit out far enough to access everything. And, of course, that requires turning the key on, engaging the brake, and moving the shifter. No big deal. The infamous "invisible bolt" wasn't a big deal either once I eyeballed it and then figured out the best position to get a socket wrench in there with room to move it enough to break the bolt loose. The xcarlink unit works great and the ipod sounds awesome on the factory system.
