Not that I'm complaining, because I really like my car. But, everything you have listed (minus the engine, tranny) have been replaced!

Also - heater broke, Navigation broke, sunglass holder broke, CD player broke, ABS switches malfunctioned and my compression is low but Mazda doesn't care.

I guess we're all not as lucky as you Zoom.

It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't really like the car.

Edit: Build date - 8/03

Hm... come to think of this, mine must be even bigger of a lemon than zoom44's... except for the tail lights (which were not replaced and don't fog up) and only getting 23 mpg on my last highway trip, mine is exactly the same like his.

I'm starting to get worried...

You know, with the exception of having a tuning problem , I'm in the same boat as Zoom 44.

With the exception of 1 set of coils (which was probably my fault, as I had just done 2 hours worth of lapping, in July, with a Canzoomer) and regular waxing of my car, mine's exactly the same as Zoom's.

What's going on? Especially with my car being one from the first batch...

Hmm ... how many miles. That could be the answer to your problem!

My 2004 with 65,000 miles is in similar shape although I did replace the coils and the plug wires.

Oh man! You know you just cursed yourself. That's just like saying the word "shotout" to a goalie in hockey with 2 minutes left in the period.

Hmm... I'm not having the same problems. And, strangely, I'm still on my original engine, which is as smooth and powerful as the day I bought it. What's up with that bullshit!?! I hate to say it, but the vast majority of 8 owners will never know what it's like to deal with these problems.

You can quote me on that if you want.
