/bump lol anyone know how this ended?

I'm still waiting for the " I bought a 7k Rx-8 Picture from ebay" Thread.

 

The reason that the feedback was so high is that the account was real, but hijacked. In other words, someone answered one of the phishing emails. They usually ask you to "log in and verify info" problem is that it's a spoofed eBay site. When you "log in" they capture your info. As soon as that happens, they use your account to host a fake auction. There is nothing for sale, they troll boards such as this one for good pics of cars. Many of us take pictures like we're selling the car when we just wanna show it off. They post the ad, and even if they only get the initial wire transfer, they're $3-4k richer and some poor schmuck is on the hook (the hijacked account) and the scammer is off to do it all over again...

Remember, if something seems too good to be true...it probably is.
