Yes, been awhile and got my RX8. Its an 2005 Model. Anyone know if its meant to have 2 keys or just one? Because the guy I bought it off only gave me one . From Australia/Melbourne btw.

Mine only came with one key, and they told me that if I ever lost it I would have to special order one.

They're ~$30 bucks on Ebay. You can get the blank cut at Home Depot and you can program it yourself with instructions on this forum.

I only had 1 key.

I had 2, but one was valet and wouldn't open the glove box, console, or trunk.

So really only one primary key, but I did have two FOBs.

 

I bought the rx8 used and i only received 1 key. If you want an extra key, just go to any Mazda dealership and just give the VIN number of your rx8 and they will make a duplicate key.

Bought mine used. Came with two switchblade keys and a valet key. Welcome though. It only takes one to drive it!

 

mine came with 3 keys and 2 keyless :P mines just that awesome
