Proclip for me as well, mounts off to the side of the radio, high enough to glance when incoming calls. Bluetooth earpiece to answer/talk. But never dial or text...might as well be out there DUI.
Proclip console mount is great and doesn't add another windshield mount to obstruct vision. I've seen people with windshield mounted GPS, Sat radio and phone.

I zoom therefore I am.
My phone use to go in the cup holder but now that I have a droid I got a proclip mount. Reason I needed the phone somewhere accessible was because I stream Pandora, DriodLive, Google Listen, etc over BT to my radio.

Sorry to rehash an old thread, but I would like to mount my phone on the center console between my right thigh and the shifter basically. The Panavise and Proclip mounts seem to prefer mounting on the right side of the radio, but ergonomically that's further out of reach than I want. Has anyone mounted their phone on the left side of the stick using one of the generic Proclip console adapters before? I use my Android for both tunes and navigation, but don't want to destroy the simple beauty of the 8 with a clunky phone up on the radio. LOL

I used this:
I mounted it to the passenger seat bolt but I don't see why you couldn't use the driver's side. I had to install a second bracket to the about half way up the length to keep it from bouncing around.
Works perfect with my Grom.

iTrader: (1)
i used to put it in my pocket but i've butt/hip dialed wayyyy too many people....which can be SUPER embarassing if you have your boss or a parent on your speed dial when you're on a date w/someone
...ask me how i know how that feels
that's the best part...i don't need to stray my eyes away from the road...
Whenever it goes off i immediately think "this drive just got wayyyyy better"
