Wow I didn't realize how big those Racing Beat tips were! I wish I could hear it in person, as I'm ready to buy a cat-back and can't decide between that and the Mazdaspeed exhaust. I kind of want my car to be an animal ;-)

Damn, a lot of you people really go all out.

I like stock myself, I prefer subtlety over waking up my neighbors. Then again, I'm also a big fan of "sleeper" cars, like adding a turbo V-8 into an otherwise stock-looking Fox-body Mustang.

Yup, your the guy. For the price I think that was a great mod. I like the look of the megaflow.

I'll tell you the RB definitely won't wake up the neighborhood. This system could have been OEM because its sound is very mellow.

I concur here. It's a very classy sound, not loud, should've been stock.

I've heard the Mazdaspeed and it's awfully nice BUT I don't like the fact that the tips are smaller then the RB.

RB's exhaust system is what I"ve had for about a year now and I LOVE it.

my friend had the mazdaspeed exhaust installed and yeah the tips are just freaking way to small. so, he ordered a very nice set of borla tips that he had the local midas store install. they cut off the mazda speed tips and welded on the new tips. it looks a whole lot better. i think the new tips are 3.5 or 4 in.

i finally got my exhaust put on. the tips are so big the stock exhaust finishers won't fit right.(notice the small gaps in the pic) oh well, time for a new rear bumper. here are some pics. i think it looks really nice with the WB paint.

Be aware that their were 2 different MazdaSpeed exhaust systems out. The single can original was almost stock in sound and had small tips 2.5". The second and current system was much louder has dual mufflers and uses 3.5" tips which fit the car very well. The 4" tips are good but just starting to enter ricer territory, any thing larger and you might as well be a 17 year old kid with a bunch of stickers on the car....Rice Vill.

[QUOTE=nuke0907]

Do all the ap exhausts only stick out that far? Careful because on long drives/high rpm runs your bumper shrouds will begin to melt. Happened with my full ti jic until I adjusted the fitment ~ Almost sold it when I was offered an s2k deal but in the end I couldn't bring myself to do it. Turns out I love the 8 more than I had realized.
Hah, those 4.5" tips dwarf my 4"ers - I think the angle has an effect.

yeah i ended up taking the exhaust shrouds off cause i broke a bunch of the tabs trying to get them off and the wouldn't fit right with the tips anyways. the tips were actually resting on the plastic, so for now i'm leaving them off til i can get a MS bumper.

Astral you need some Christmas presents - Santa needs to bring you a little silver rotary symbol, a set of silver pipe covers and the wind catcher wing... so it will look good, but not ricey

And Mom says a set of 12 " culvert drains so your pipes will always be bigger than their pipes! She says you could set up some flame throws in them!
