Windshield paint...

Havnt seen anyone with this mentioned before so figured I'd ask even though it's not really a problem or anything. I got my car about a year and a half ago (Dec. 05). I got it used from carmax and have had no real problems to date. When I got it, the salesman mentioned how it had been a vegas prize car and the previous owner got it that way.

Now that I've explained the background, here's the issue/question... A short time after I got my car, I had washed it and was cleaning off the windows with windex or something like that. When I'd pass over with the towel, before the residue from the windex dried, I would see some letters... so I had my dad wipe the windshield while I figured out what it says... It says "SEXY! '04!" on it lol. Since you only see it in that situation I didnt really care. I'm guessing some kinda residue was left over after wiping off the window paint they used. When I cleaned it again yesterday, I noticed that it still does that... Will that ever go away?

Use alcohol to clean the whole windshield and it will go away.

yea alchohol, a razor blade and newspaper to wipe it down will leave it really nice. Do not use amonia windex or a razor on tint though. duh. Spray your windshield and then scrape it with the razor and then spray it again and clean it off with wadded up newspaper.

Do not use a razor blade!

A member here used it and wasn't an artist or mechanically inclined.

Scratched the hell out of car.

Steel wool trple lot or 0000 lot will work.
