Window making clicking sound

Has anyone ever had the drivers side window make a clicking sound when rolling the window up? It does not do it on the way down only on the way up, it's like a roller has someting stuck to it.

I'll be taking mine in for an oil change in about a month and I'm going to bring it up then.

Same here. It is getting louder and louder. The rattle in my doors are also getting louder (when music is turned up or going over rough roads). I plan to take it in soon for them to fix...

There's a TSB that covers this. Bring it up to your service dept.

I didnt have the window problem although i have heard of it happening, but i had the rattle on doors... I took it to the dealer and they said that i blew out a tweeker in the speakers... They gave me a new set of speakers and now its fine.... so when u go just ask them to take apart your driver side door...

Window click & speaker noise are the same issue

Took my RX8 in because I heard a rattle in the door that became very noticeable with mild bass from the stereo. In addition I had noticed that several times the window made a snap or click noise but I actually thought it had something to do with the cold (WI winters!). The dealer said there was a loose adjustment on the window assembly - both issues are resolved!

By any chance, know what they "fixed"?

Warranty ....

Funny you ask about this being under warranty. The dealer actually started telling me that the problem was defined by Mazda as "an adjustment", and that it was therefore NOT under warranty. He said it was like wheel alignment!! I went off - not sure the last time I took my door apart and smashed the window mechanism into a curb!

Bottom line, the dealer ship said they wouldn't get reimbursed by Mazda, but that they wouldn't charge me. I'm not sure if the dealership was honest or if they just want a good response to the survey later.

Gotta be a warranty situation.

not to hijack the thread, but is it normal to be able to lift the window up while it is say half rolled down, I would think the glass would be held in very tight within the door. I can roll the window down some and actually pull the glass almost out of the door.
