Just to give you guys/girls a update, they no longer are doing any motors at williams technology, I am not sure if they have inventory left but I do know that they will not build anymore motors. We have shipped a few more out this week. Our test car is still going strong for the AT rebuild motor. I will be on vacation starting next friday, signed out a brand new test car(09 RX8 with a new motor not a rebuild) that I am going to put a good 1000 miles on it the following weekend, mazda gave us it to use whenever we want, it has a computer in it monitoring it. Not sure what they are studying but we have to log everytime we shut the car off. I will probably clean it up a little and do a quick shoot with it, post some pics maybe when I get back home.

BTW if any of you ever want to know where your engine came from in the future simply ask the parts department. They almost always recieve the motor and if its from Colonial Heights VA its from Mazda reman(us) if its South Carolina its Williams Tech. I used to work in the parts department once for 5 years outta HS, they know where the motors come from, service writers have no idea nor do they care most the time.

Damn...hopefully if my engine does blow up...I get a VA one. That makes sense since I'm from VA. I'll tell them to take that **** back they give me a W. Tech one. Which is probably big talk...thanks for the info!

Williams still has inventory BTW, but we are still shipping some out also, no idea on who gets what but thats all I know for now.

Well as of right now I can have both, we can sign out a rx8 for a week or 2 whenever we want, ha. Truth is I will sell my Z in a year or 2 anyways, once wife finishes medical school we gotta pay off the bills and eventually I can probably get whatever car(s) I want with her salary not to brag :p

Talked to the boss today, Williams Technology aka cat reman is OUT of MT motors for rx8s. So in other words if you have a MT and it is going to get a remanufactured engine it will come from Mazda Remanufacturing(VA) from now on. We shipped 23 out the last 2 days. If you own a AT(and shame on you for buying a AT sports car unless your handicaped) Williams Technology still has inventory on those. So feel free to PM if you get a rebuild from mazda in the future, I would like to here how it compares(MPG/power) compared to the last motor.

From what I understood, yes, no idea which motors but I imagine the last rx7 motors made.
