Okay here's my dilemma: I'm getting CEL blinks at high RPM's with engine bogging, going to be checking the engine code then taking it in afterwards probably.
I have an aftermarket AEM CAI installed. If it's a cylinder mifire or something along those lines, will they try giving me crap for having the aftermarket intake installed? Does aftermarket intake void the 100k mile engine warranty?

An aftermarket intake shouldn't be an issue, technically they can't deny engine warranty coverage for an aftermarket mod unless the mod could directly cause an engine problem. And it would be quite a stretch to claim that an aftermarket CAI could cause engine failure.
But you never know, it really comes down to what the techs say and whether MNAO goes along with it. I know someone with a Honda who had warranty coverage denied for a blown engine because of a CAI, but I suspect that the intake was very low and from what he told me of what the techs said it sounded like evidence of hydrolock, so theoretically the CAI could have caused the problem in that case.
In any case, I don't think you have to worry about it being cylinder misfire

Year? Mileage? Maintenance history?
The AEM is identical to the Mazdaspeed intake
It's know to cause issues if the screens are out of place in the tube
99% You need new coils

2004 automatic, about 48000 miles.
In terms of Maintenance, Last June at about 43000 miles car was flooded and mazda put all brand new spark plugs in and deflooded it.
Later on around november I put in four brand new OEM coils and new set of wires and decarbed it. So all that stuff is about a year old give or take.
I still haven't gotten a chance to diagnose the CEL, will have the tool tomorrow to do that.
Can these items really go within a year, and about 5,000 miles? I put Marvel Mystery Oil in every other fill-up to help with my carbon deposits considering I can't redline like normal rx8's, that seemd to always work really well.
Trying to think of other causes. Will the CEL diagnostic tell me exactly what part's having a problem, or could something else be stealthly triggering it? (like bad gas or something along those lines)

It's a bit tricky to replace but if you use the wire to help hold the thing in place then the bolt isn't so tough to get to.
