TN Why so expensive?

Trim Panels/Console Kit for the rx-8 seem to be SO high for what little I think they are but I could be wrong in assuming this. Are the trim panels not just the 2 plastic pieces running down the sides of the center console???

http://corksport.com/store/category/...-interior.html --- $465

http://www.rx8strakes.com/index.asp?...ROD&ProdID=300 --- $460

Is it just 2 plastic pieces or is there more to them that I just dont know I am still new to the car so correct me if I am wrong but that just seems crazy!

You are looking at a Mazdaspeed factory part. Try finding one that isn't made by Mazda.

evo-r.net has a kit with real carbon. I have it installed and it is much cheaper than what you are looking at now.

Thanks that is a much better price! I was not about to pay that much for 2 pieces of plastic!

I am wanting to do the whole interior to get rid of all the silver such as the side panels door handles shift plate since mine is an AT, the AC controls and would like to do something different with the trim around the gauges since they are silver as well... If you all know of an all in one kit somewhere please let me know

to put things into perspective a tad from oem parts prices vs. auto parts stores and mark up. a set of plugs from the dealer will cost around $120. the same set from napa (NGK) runs $80. that being said, there is a HUGE markup on oem parts. now i understand that the quality on most aftermarket parts is not up to oem equivelency. i usually only buy oemmazda parts though
