also, the banners typically shouldn't be wider than 1024px but 900px is a much better way to go.

 

i cant lie, i hate the red one, but you can't please everyone. theres still way too much space on the right side. my 8club window never used to have to take up this much of my screen. i dont like having to scroll left and right to read posts.

 

I don't have that problem on my 24" monitor.

the red one is the rx8 concept. i dont like it either. i vote my car for the banner.

i think we should be able to vote on the cars we want to see up there. have about 10 that rotate.

Nope just went up today.

 

new banner repeats on the X asix on wide screen and looks ugly.. the old one didn't do that. the cycling is kinda silly and late 90ish for internets.

Should make it one or the other but not cycle. make it a random selection on the page load. Just my web. dev. 2 cents.

Got it covered... just combined all 3 of them.

 

Watch it for a while, it cycles between 2 banners about every 10 seconds.

Should set it to be aligned to the middle, no repeat, and just use a background color in CSS which changes with the banner

This is something the server admins have to set up, the banner appears correctly for others. I'll let the IB admins know - thanks for the feedback!

 

I just checked with FF 3.5.5 & IE 8.0 and had no issues with it.

 

actuallyyyy... the banner was only show in the lite style. I fixed the Dark37 style so it shows properly now- thanks to the guys in the wave for pointing it out

Who's idea was it to go from rx-evolv -> Series 2 rx8? The generational thing could be cool, have all three either cycling or change randomly. I always liked how on the vette forum the banner would be dependent on what generation vette you owned.

Anyways, kudos for making the change either way!

 

Got it to work after I changed from "DARK" to "37 DARK".

It's not shaved but rather flush. You push in. Also, that is not the RX-EVOLV, but rather the 2001 Detroit Auto Show RX-8 concept.

Little factoid: There were hundreds of RX-8 concept design sketches developed which included versions from all 3 Mazda design centers (Hiroshima, MNAO, and MRE).
