WHo bought after going to rev it up?

I was just wondering who made there decision to buy after driving the RX-8 at a Mazda Rev it up event?

I really like the way they looked and still love my fully restored 83 RX-7 but when I drove the RX-8 at rev it up I just had to trade in my Protege5.

I just wish a had run better times in the 3......Damn X- box exit apex cones......grrrrrr.....i did end up in the top third of all the weekends drivers....i'll take my little bronze pin and thry again next year.....

I did not do the time trial, and really hate myself for it now, I only drove the test drive track that was free.

I knew I was going to get a new car within the next year, but really didn't know what I want. After the test drive at rev it up, I can't stop thinking about having my own 8.

Made my mind up.

Drove the RX8 for the first time at Rev It Up (Boston).

Put the 04 WRX STi up for sale, sold it, bought the RX8 a few days later, have not looked back (besides the financial loss of owning a car for just 10 months), great overall package.

Winning Blue, GT, Nav, Accents, V1.

Welcome to the Club.

We will be interested in hearing your comparisons between the two.

THanks for the welcome guys.

Still breaking the RX8 in, right around 500 miles, so performance comparisons are tough, handling seems much more balanced and natural feeling to me. I did have the STi on the track a few times, BMWCCA Driving schools, the power was great, handling was there, but understeer was huge, plus it had some spooky off throttle oversteer in the middle of corners.. never really got use to it.

Yep, the fastest car isn't always the most fun... I traded my WRX in for the RX8 a couple months ago. That sucks about your financial hit, but at least you got to use a REVITUP coupon :D
