Where To Put The Gas Cap
I fill my tank in NJ were you are not allowed to pump your own gas and I'm getting tired of watching the attendant fumble with the cap ,then getting fustrated and then just dropping it. It dangles and hits my car.
Why is there not a gas cap holder on the inside of the fuel cover? If there is please let me know

i put my gas cap in the gas nozzle to keep the handle pumping gas so I don't have to hold it. Here on LI we have self serve and they don't have those notches in the handle to pump and leave it. so, i use the gas cap and wedge it in between to keep the gas flowing.
problem solved.

Don't know if they have it for the 8, but I bought a "perma-cap" for my miata. Its simply a plastic gas cap that stays in place with a little hinged circular door in the top.
You just jamb the gas nosile in the hole and you're good to go. No removing the gas cap.......................

wow in NJ you are not allowed to pump your own gas? mind explaining the logic behind that?
If we had that rule in texas here, I don't know if i could handle that because I have the images of GED-educated losers half-assedly pumping gas into my car dinging **** and getting gas all over the place.

Chop...
Chopped the tether.
Made a loop.
Hang it "wherever".
Springs on the new gaslid pop it open, and hold it there.
Took the silly metal surround off the gas inlet.
Yes, it's dirty, you should see the REST of the car!

I was just in oregan this past november and in that state you are not aloud to pump your own gas. Something to do with safety i think i was told.. Only problem was it takes forever for someone to get to you and pump your gas... Good side of it that.. ur not gonna drive off with out paying for your gas and then yup u guessed it.. ur not gonna lose your license... those stickers crack me up..
