Where can I rent an RX-8 in Los Angeles?

Plain and simple - I've driven the 8 in a test drive, but I want to rent one for a weekend. Does anyone know if there are any businesses that rent the 8?

You may want to check out Budget in Beverly Hills. They usually carry "special" cars to rent.

BTW, I was part of a market research group for Nissan. Myself and 8 other guys test drove current coupes in the market. Nissan (Infiniti) wanted feedback to help design a new G35 Coupe.

Here are the cars I drove over a two week period (had each for a couple of days):

Infiniti G35 Coupe
Audi TT Coupe
Chrysler Crossfire
Mazda RX-8
BMW 330ci

All were automatics.

Since you’ve asked about the G35 and RX-8, here’s what I can tell you:

The G35 has WAY more power. Great engine/exhaust tone. Seats very comfortable. However, the interior is very cheap looking in the G35. IMO the RX-8 is a much better value even with less power. I bought my 8 for the looks and handling, not straight line speed.

If you have any questions about the cars, I can tell you what I thought…

Too bad they gave you the 180hp TT...with an automatic it's not much fun...and certainly no comparison to the 225 (or even the 3.2 - although I still can't get my mind around the DSG. No matter how you cut it, it's an automatic.)

I had the 3.2 Quattro with their new automatic transmission (F1 style paddle shifters).
