Last night i was driving my 8 and i noticed that i was giving it gas and it was accelerating so slow in third gear, and my tac wasnt going up....like 10 minutes later my oil light came on, i added oil and its fine now, but that was def weird...anyone know what was happening, besides the fact that my oil was low....

 

Maybe the car went into some sort of "limp" mode when it sinced the low oil. Anyone?

 

i've read on posts that the engine is having flooding problems but i dont know what the effect of that problem so i was concerned that may be happening...i hope that doesnt seem stupid, i just really dont know

 

Had you just spin out, or over revved, or anything else? How low was low on oil? 1 quart or more?

 

yea funny you mention that like 15-20 min before this kid whoz never seen my car in person asked me to do a burn out so i did, and of course i basicly redlined it

 

Do a search on the forum for 'limp mode', you will find all sorts of information on what happened.
