What is your 8's name?
It's not due for 3 months so haven't picked a name yet. I think we'll have to see it first. Our Miata goes by the name of 'Yata or Jelly-Belly (after the jelly beans). Our pickup is "Starina".
Possible names for the new 8
Buttercup
BumbleBee
Buzz
Felix (in honor of Dr. Wankel)

No, not really. My RX-8 is "Roxy" (duh, I know, totally unoriginal, but it fits her and I can find lots of T-shirts with her name on them).
i have been bad, almost been a month and still don't have a name, but i've come up with a few ideas, i wanted to pick a name from greek and roman mythology, and i wanted the orignal meaning of the name to mean something proper. I was half minded to diana because my arrest me red 8 is......... red. I also like the name of Rhea, and then Helena was the most desirable woman....... and i can't choose.
Diana - Diana was the Roman goddess of the hunt
Helena - She was the most desirable woman in Greece
Rhea - Goddess of the hearth and symbol of the home
Leda - The queen of the nymphs and mother of Helena
Leucosia
Ligeia
Parthenope
These three were the three sirens that are described as dangerously alluring

I've been leaning towards "Citron". It's yellow . . . so very, very yellow.
It has been pointed out to me that naming a car with so much new and pretty much untried technology after a French lemon is perhaps not the most sensible of ideas.
Fortunately, the car seems to be resisting the nomer. Therefore, it may be changing. I have always believed that cars really name themselves after being given enough time. I think what I really need is a road trip. I just spent two weeks with my mother's Jaguar, since my previous car died twice in a week and couldn't be used, and it came home being called "The Kitty". A little obvious, but nobody else thought of a name in the two years that my mother has had the thing.

My 93 Rx7 was called "Max" because it seemed to suit him.
He's still with us, but is now called "Blue Max" ( he' s Montego Blue).
His new Rx8 cousin is "Black Max" (he's Briliant Black).

when i first bought my car, me and a few of my co-workers decided to take it to a local starbucks. we were mobbed by all the people outside trying to look at my car. this happened several times the first week i had my car.
everyone started calling my 8 "pimp juice" after that. i don't necessarily call her that, but she does supply me with lots of "pimp juice" when driving around.
