What gas station for her

Hi,
I know gas type has been discussed many times in this forum, but my question is regarding the gas station quality.
Rotten robbie for instance is cheaper than shell, but the quality is not as good either.
For now I am only going to the cheapest gas stations for my car. Should I go to good brand stations like shell or chevron instead ?

Sometimes your cheap isnt always "cheap" like you think it would be. Sometimes the metering can be off on cheap gas station equipment, and you end up getting less than 1 gallon per your gallon price.

There was a big issue about that in the area where I live a few years ago. I go to cumberland farms where I know that I get as close to a gallon as I'm going to get for my 4ish dollars.

Surely all the pumps ect are tested regularly as to guarantee it's accuracy?

Because even a "Cheap" gas station is legally obliged to give you a gallon of fuel if your paying for a gallon of fuel

I've seen places where they play fast and loose with that legal requirement.

However, cheap gas is usually cheap because you are paying X for 1 gallon of liquid. It's probably not all gas, as they have supplemented another fluid that is cheaper per gallon. What they supplement could be anything from alcohol types to additives to plain water. Cheap gas doesn't always mean bad gas, but it's too common to risk on a finicky high strung engine that is sensitive to combustion fluctuations. Piston engines are far more forgiving there.

True...with this kind of engine we have (rotary), its better to use high quality gas. For myself, i always use Chevron with techron on both of my cars.

I think they get tested every year but who knows what could happen to it between inspections. When they have checked many stations in studies they always find a small amount that over or under charge so they are definitely out there.

I almost always fill up at Rebel unless I want to use my Smiths rewards points then I use Shell to get a discount.
