That sucks when you make plans and are ready to purchase and they sell it... i planned a trip to denver from ND where i live just to look at 8's, my favorite one was 06 silver gt w/black and red leather and only 20k miles... sold two days before i made the 10 hour drive.

(granted i found my vr a day later and it was a way better deal)

 

i went and looked one at a place 1 hours away. 43k miles 05 sport. 1 owner decent maintenance history on carfax. i got there and it was dirty as hell under the hood. had winter wheels no stock ones. it made this weird noise when shifting from 1>2>1 when pushing in the clutch like a winding sound. kinda weird. still has factory power train warranty for 4 months. the no past history and no wheels and a dirty engine bay made me say no. also it was kinda hard to start warm. it took a little longer than when it was cold at 35 degrees out.

i looked at a 05 shinka 31k miles. they wanted 16500. would not go below 17k out the door. i laughed said i can get a 07 for that much. he said where so he could buy it. jack ***. the thing had scratches all over it. clean engine though but little marks all over. i did not even test drive.

still on the hunt

looked at a 05 with 48k miles. drove nice. no problems i could see but it is from Florida with 2 2 owners so i was kinda worried. it was little dirty under the hood. no maintenance records besides like 2 on carfax. had a open emission recall. they tried to paint calipers red and failed. looked like crap. rest of car was clean. i am going to stay away because it was probably some kid who did not take care of it.
