I am sure this mod is floating around this forum somewhere but this is where I found it.
It did seem to help so if it helps great if NOT....it's not my fault.
Use at your own discretion.

From: I'm a yankee trapped in Houston!!
I live in Houston, and it's been getting into the 90's recently, and I've seen my dashboard temp guage *well* into the triple digits on many occasions after being parked outside for a few hours in the sun. (bone stock '04 BB with B&T int)

I get in the car, I turn the fan to 4, the temps all the way in the blue, AC on, recirculate on, and vents only. I then roll down both windows, open the sunroof, and crack the 'gills' open.

In the time it takes me to pull out of the parking lot and reach my first redlight, I can close the windows and the gills, and turn the fan down to 2, because in that 3½ minute span the AC has chilled & dehumidified the car to the point that even a native Philadelphian can be comfortable.

I dunno if my '04 is just magic or something, but the power of the A/C simply AMAZES me. It seems like the air from the vents goes from 115 to 70 in the time it takes me to put on my seatbelt. I simply do not understand why so many people bitch about it.

The heater core may have been partially or totally clogged. I had this problem with my '77 Plymouth Arrow (Dodge Colt clone). Mild electrolytic action in the cooling system caused minerals to build-up inside the heater core. After a couple of years, no heat at all. The remedy was to replace the core (really just a small radiator with a fan to force air through it), and NEVER use anything but distilled water to mix with your engine coolant.
