2012 Mazda RX8 GT

Today I took my RX8 for a fun ride from Toronto to London Ontario.
Was a perfect sunny morning. Cruising at 140 kms, and a few times hitting 165kms.
The engine was buzzing happily and I couldn't have enjoyed it more. So smooth, so agile. The more you push the pedal, the wilder the ride gets. What a thrill !

Last night, I put a new set of track brakes on to start bedding them in for my next track day on January 21.

I just put in a parking light bulb and socket. It was more difficult than I was expecting, though that's partly because I dropped it behind the housing trying to screw it in.

Changed my oil, rotated my tires, wiped down my dash, door panels, & engine covers, and polished my exhaust tips with a 20 something year old can of Eagle One wadding that I forgot I had.
Still works!

Debating if I want to buy new shocks for my 8 or sell it and get a C5 Vette. I've wanted one since I was a little kid but I love my 8 as well.

Ordered a new N3H1-15-351G Radiator Reservoir Assembly with the sensor, since mine has long since failed and I've had it unplugged.

I dropped it off at the dealership to get my quarter panel and rear bumper fixed and painted. Thankfully the person that hit me stuck around and their insurance is covering the damage, and my rental.

Changed plugs, leads, coils, and threw in new battery and drove it while breaking some local speed suggestions near where I live during some errands.

Got caught in a snow storm, 70cm of snow fallen overnight.
Turned off the traction, covered an 0.6km uphill stretch sideways.

Finally programmed the Homelink to my garage door openers after 2.5 years.

I don't park in the garage, my wife's stoopid Venza does.
Hers isn't programmed either.
Told her she needs to do it herself, so she uses the remote.

i washed the car on the way home from work. for those of you that work in a restaurant, or have in the past, know there is an awful stink from the crap from the dish room floor that gets in the mats, so i took them out and pressure washed them, so much better. later last night (technically early this morning), i went ahead an cleaned my center console. the compartment just behind the cup holders (the "hidden" one) was missing the felt piece. so i made a new one tonight, fits perfect. so i will probably make another out of a heavier felt. (this was just the walmart craft section crap.)

Took the front bumper off, and the intake out to install the Odula ram intake that arrived today... while I was in there, added a layer of aluminum tape to the heat shield. The intent is to keep the mods invisible but effective...

HVAC aluminum tape and some time...

Replaced all ignition coils with plugs. Changed engine mountings, changed from upper suspension arm bushes, Vacuum pipe from map sensor to engine was cut so fixed it properly. Serviced throttle body, used caltex coolant in the radiator and flushed it.Put hi octane with Liqui moli fuel injector cleaner.

All problem fixed, no check lights, engine starts within 2 seconds whether hot or cold. Drove it to 220 km/hr. Such a beauty when you sort out all the issues. and the most important thing is that it is cheaper to do all that stuff in my county Pakistan.

Anyone here guide me about the cooling mods so that the car dont heatup sooner in summer and fan com on sooner? OR i should not mess with the original thermostat settings?

It's just an extension so that the overflow hose dumps out the other side of the tank.
