What is this?

I had most of the interior out due to speaker replacement and the leather installation - and saw these strange plates under both rear seat cushions. Does anyone know what are they for?

If there are wires going to both, one might be the fuel pump and the other the fuel sending unit for the gauge.

Usually the fuel pump and sending wires are the same. It seems from other posts that I've read that the car as a high capacity for fuel output with what seem to be large injectors. If the capacity is high then maybe there are two fuel pumps. I bet Canzoomer would know for sure since he has been working on the fuel system.

Is that the one for the special ejector seats in the rear. Sensors that detect weight for better boost trajectory out the suicide (I mean "freelance") doors. LOL.

This has been discussed before. Those are covers to the fuel pumps (yes, there are two due to the odd "saddlebag" shape of the fuel tank).
