Watter build up in my Rear Tail lights.
I bought my 2004 rx8 last December of 2007. Ive had it for almost 4 months now and I love this car so much. Single Garret Turbo comming soon. Just last week I noticed that my rear right tail light had a little more than an inch of standing water inside it . It still works but I dont want it to cause any problems in the future. Anyone have the orders on how to take off the Tail light so I can fix it myself? I dont have $300 to have the dealer fix it.

Good luck with that man... Our taillights are notoriously (leaky)!!! Ive replaced them twice only to decide to give up... Im thinking about buying some goldfish for them or something :D

I don't buy Kool-Aid
What you want to do is remove the liner in the trunk and remove the tail lights then reseal them. I would drain out the watter first after that you should be ok. I had one taillight replaced on my old 8 and it started to get foged up with watter. So I did them myself. Check the DIY section.
Have fun!

Don't say "noob"
Hey, at the risk of stepping on toes here: the "noob" attitude is what kills these message board sites. If you're not a Mazda-certified tech then you're no better than anyone... you've just been on the site longer. Bully for you. As the kids say online, "STFU."

What is "watter" and how did it fit inside your tail light? I hope the watter doesn't eat it's way out of your light and go on a killing frenzy. Maybe you should make sure it stays in there.
Keep us safe from the watter monstar!!!

The thing is people love to help on the forum but why not exhaust all options available on finding the answer instead of being spoon fed? This question has been answered many times and it just takes a simple search to get the answer.

They certainly do love to help. Solid advice is the main reason I keep coming to this site, and I don't like to see others discouraged. Newbie complaints are an ego-stroke, plain and simple. I take issue with arrogance, just like you do with what you see as laziness; either way, I guess everybody's got their peeves. Drive safe.

I had water in both tail lights.
Unfortanatly happen after warrentee.
Thanks for the service bullentin.
I removed the lights and drained the water out.
Hair dryed and sticking cloth inside to remove the rest.
I just brought it to the dealer to fix it.
