water in tail lights I KNOW I CANT FIND IT IN SEARCH!!!

okay, so i have a fish tank. ive looked everywhere to find the exact spot to drill to get this water out. can someone please show me the link. i cant find it. i am so lame at using the search button on here. i never find what i am looking for. lol SORRY GUYS I F'ING KNOW OKAY!!!

would it be better if you replace the gasket? letting dirty water go through isnt really a good idea.

dude im pathetic when it comes to fixing my own car man. i dont trust myself with it. i wouldnt know where to begin and i dont want to give any money to that stealership.

what I did was just let the water evaporate and then siliconed the gasket to the taillight. never had the problem since.

how long did it take to evap.? i have about an inch high in both... btw, thanks jason

little over a day... you can dump out the excess water though, and if you have a blowdryer you can probably speed that up quite a bit.

drilling is def. my last free option i have. although i would never feel comfortable doing it so it would never happen anyways

At this rate, you should use a 2 1/4 inch drill bit to drill holes in your taillights.

If you don't trust yourself with fixing your own car, definitely do not attempt to drill! Those taillights are expensive. At least if you F up the gasket, you can take it off, get another, and try it again. Also, try and see if there is anyone in your area willing to help you do the gasket.

Don't drill. Taking out the light is quick and easy. Dry it, silicone both sides of the current gasket, and put it all back together. Will cost you a $4 tube of silicone and a few hours of drying time.
