Take a heat gun to it and take off the lens. Clean it and seal it again =D

It's funny how Guiffre Mazda in Brooklyn told me its perfectly normal.

I'd go looking for a junkyard replacement, but since its "broken" anyways, may as well try sayno's idea first.

So how does one use a heat gun to take off the lens? I've got the same exact problem. How did the water get in? If there's a hole then it will just happen again, no?

My rear taillight is like this as well. I just haven't had time to take it in. I suppose I'll call them tomorrow and schedule an appointment to get it fixed. I just printed out the TSB and I'm going to bring it in case they give me a hard time.

It seems that MOST dealership does not know about the gasket problem. They just replace the whole light. Like me

guess what, after what, 3-4 months ? its fogging up again ~~~~ starting @ the right side now. not major, but its there ... *sigh*

I had the same problem, but didn't feel like it needed to be replaced. So, I got some clear silicone and applied it around where the lens was attached together, and the problem was solved!

Can you point out where you apply the silicone. I think I have an idea where to apply it, but just want to be sure.

Cuz this **** is making me sick as well.

Just between the clear plastic and the black plastic part. But, we sure to do it all around the whole light, I would recommed removing the tail light and doing it.

I remove my tail light like 10 times already

I will give that a try, need to get some silicone sealant tho. Do you think the ones that they use for sealing oil pan works ?

this happend to my first 8, what i did was loosen one of the screws on the back of the tail light, just loosen a lil, dont take OFF!!...so this way air and moisture can escape and not build up on the inside.....

i had the same problem when i first dot my 8. It doesnt matter weather its still in warranty or not. Theres a TSB for that so the dealer should give you any trouble to get that replaced.
