Wanting to paint my grille.

I am really wanting to paint the front and back grille silver but I'm kind of scared to attempt this. Anybody have any suggestions on what they did and how it came out? Thanks...

Rear you can use a silver sharpie.

and front you can remove that black grill and install chicken wire?

The Issue with this is that if you look closely the front grille is not just a mesh thing. The upper portion has a black plastic piece behind it. So you'd have to somehow leave that part black. Otherwise it would look odd.

As for the sharpie, there is a DIY on here with people who have done sharpie and paint. Check it out. I might suggest buying the rx8strakes rear diffuser chrome piece, then getting the one and only grille billet for the 8. They are both metal. I just don't see how you are going to be able to paint the front without messing it up or you'll have to cut out the back on it somehow.

If you don't know what I mean. Go look at the car and you'll see how only the bottom half of the front grille is open behind it.

Oh yah!!! I just went out there and looked at it and the top part of the grille would be extremely hard to do... well dang it! That grille billet is pretty much what i am going for!! Thanks!!
