Wankel Rotary specific books?
Wankel Rotary specific books?
Are there any? Searched Amazon and B&N and couldnt find any except a few history ones, but I need an introduction and a full guide that covers everything (including how to maintain, build, etc). Getting it as a birthday gift for my son
He makes enough money as it is! But he just bought a genII rx7 and wants to build it before he goes to grad school. He had a 8 before and loved it and now that hes getting back into the rotary scene he wants to do it right.
If you search by thread title here you will find several threads on books.
But here is one I enjoyed reading.

OP: I have that book, and I found it to be very well written and informative. It covers a wide variety of rotary engines including the renesis.
Monchie don't knock it if you haven't read it.

Monchie have you read this book. I don't think so. Read it , the author has compiled a treasure trove of info from many top sources along with his own extensive experience. You might gain a lot of info that you won't easily find on the internet
One more thing about that book is that the author happens to be a mechanical engineer. I believe he says somewhere that he also owns a rotary......so the guy knows what he's talking about!
However, even though there is some theory here and there, the way he wrote the book is very easy to understand. The part about intake/exhaust is quite impressive in terms of understanding the different theories behind intake/exhaust design as it applies to the rotary.

Let me check it out, thanks.
