Void of warranty....Maybe?

Whats up everyone,
I am interested in purchasing the OEM front spoiler. My car is a lease and did not come with it. What I want to know, is if it will void my warranty and/or give me problems when the car goes back?? I would think not considering it is going to be OEM. Well any info or input will be greatly appreciated! Everyone have a safe and great holiday weekend.

it's an oem part. It's not going to be a warranty issue.

Funny you post this question. I think that it wont, but please do not quote me. I bought one without a front spoiler. The parts department said that I was not able to install it because of my car being an Auto. It is something about the air duct. NOW look at this, My sister just bought a new Automatic 8 with the front spoiler. I asked the parts department and they could not give me an answer. I think that if you get it intalled thru them, it wont void the warranty. Good Luck!

Mysql101 my local dealer said that depending on the part or color code, if it is not installed at a mazda dealership, the warranty will be void. Is this sh@t or what.

are you people telling me that the entire warranty of a car is voided - engine, powertrain and all - because of a FRONT SPOILER?

C'mon.

read the warranty for the mazdaspeed and other products, you still get a warranty even if you install it yourself.

I agree with you. My dealer said the same thing about OEM and Mazdaspeed, but I told them that I wanted the whole aero + appearance pkgs, so they had to do it anyway.

It's a spoiler, they are not going to give a **** if you have a spoiler on your car, front or back. Now if the paint starts peeling around the spoiler you might have problems but geez, use a little common sense here.

For once I think I am agreeing with Mugatu.

Regardless of the warranty issue (which I think is a non-issue for an OEM part), you need to check your lease agreement about modifications to the car. You might be liable for the cost of restoring the car to its "stock" condition.

In reality, it is unlikely they will notice the front spoiler when then do the inspection when you return the car.
