Today i called my dealer and asked if mine came in and they said it didn't. They said they got 3 vin numbers in though. Two of the vins were to guys that ordered the car after me. does anyone know how that happened? Does it matter if i ordered an automatic.. Did anyone with an automatic get their vins yet?

 

Who got the 3rd VIN? Someone who ordered before you? What was your order date, and have you ever had a 'build date' or seen your dealer's inventory report? I personally would not think an auto would get the VIN at a different time - but - as 'groups' of cars are built at one time, it is possible that a manual batch may include orders after yours as sticks are likely the majority of their build orders and they may do a batch of auto tranny's after the 6speeds and therefore you could get your VIN later (but hopefully soon). My dealer didn't have mine as of Thursday last week and I haven't yet heard that they do.

 

I've got an auto and have my VIN. Ordered Jan. 20.

 

I'm assuming those who have their VINs havent gotten them from the Mazda email yet.. correct?
