very sad day
got into an accident the other day. not going to get into the details. had both rear suspension arms replaced. dents still there. How should i go about getting this dent removed? is it in a hard to reach place?? i've heard of several things such as a hairdryer and air duster/dry ice but im quite skeptical. here's a pic of where the dent is, hopefully someone can shed some light. If you can't see it it is between the wheel well and the suicide door near the bottom

hot/cold trick will not take that out (i think). if you want a perfect finish it is body shop time for you!

did both sides of the car's rear suspension get damaged? that dent is in the monocoque portion of the body, & without knowing the specifics of the accident i've got to assume the worst: could this be some mild "frame" damage, from the stress of the incident - ie: nothing directly pushed in the dent, right? it dented from the forces exerted on the chassis by way of the suspension linkage?
I'm sure it is minor enough to be repairable, after all i've seen the procedures for rear quarter panel replacement, but it makes me wonder...
anyone with more experience care to comment?

if you're feeling cheap and advanaterous , you could always drill into the center of the dent, pull it out with a hook (picture hanger), then rust proof, then bondo, then sand, then buy matching paint (aerosol type), spray the affected area a few times (taping it off carefully) then sand with fine grit , then apply clearcoat....
believe me, as far as body work goes, not too many body shops will do more than that....
if you're handy and need the money, or are desperate to fix it yourself, it probably wont be that noticeable, maybe with the exception of the demarcation line between old/new paint....
i've done it before on my merc 230 (bottom of the front left fender) cause I didn't feel like having 2 panels repainted...and i'd probably do it again if i was in your boat
i'd show you the end result on my c230 but I can't find pics of it though :|
...or you could pay a body shop and atleast they'll warranty the work

I think it is very bad for the car. Put "towing" in the search bar and see what comes up.

What happened was i got hit from the left, and it broke both of the rear suspensions arms. those got replaced and tomorrow my friend and i are going to take the wheel off and the panels under the wheel well off and try to push the dent out. i ordered some of the touch up paint and if you guys are interested i'll post some before/after pictures (close up). If that doesnt work then im going to wait till im back in nyc to do the repairs because i am currently in ohio for school. and if thats the case then i will be buying new wheels friday! : p. i know i shouldnt be doing that with a dent in the side but... its gonna have to wait till i go home.

most important thing above all is too look at it this way. you are still alive the car did its job, repay the favour, forgo the wheels, and treat her to some new clothes and get that dent out professionally. its what i'd do. . just my 2 cents though

Why don't you call your insurance back in NY and they'll tell you what shop you need to take it to. You have insurance , right , that way you'll get a professional job done. Forget your wheels and take care of what more important. Nice wheels with a, F up side, doesn't work.
Take care..............
