Un-even brake rotor...

Has anyone had one or both front rotors unevenly worn out (looking like rings and not evenly smooth)? Is this the same issue as the brake pad squeeky noise? I was at the Mazda dealership yesterday and they said it is nothing that I'm doing or nothing with the brakes/materials of rotors.???? Any advice?

When I bought my new car it had 25 miles on it and both right side rotors were scored. I pointed it out and they agreed to replace them. When I returned for service they only turned them. We are currently discussing getting the new rotors installed as was originally agreed.

the pad holders are the calipers

I don't know why but dealers never want to replace the brake rotors, they only turn them all the time, you really have to complain to get them to do it. oh and squeaky brakes are a trademark of the 8, it has nothing to do with grooved rotors unless something got under them

When I picked up my hold over 05 the rotors had rings in them all the way around,, I thought that after driving it they would break in and go away,, I have 1000 miles on the car now and they still look the same. Everyone points them out to me them also,, I am waiting to take in the car for the 1st oil change and try to have the dealer do something about it??

you might go the expensive way and get a set of ceramic pads, I think they're not squeaky like that, they're certainly much cleaner and are more heat resistant, the downside is the price tho...
