You can go single for the street with like an RX-6 unit. Just as fast, if not faster, response as compared to the OEM units. And I think something like the RX-6 is more efficient and will supply more power. I suppose you could upgrade to the later JDM Spec turbos, but I just never saw the reason for the complication when some of the newer ball bearing singles can do the job just was well and deliver the same if not more power.

Dammit KY, why didn't I think of that? seeing all the shiny tubing kinda distracted me. Well even if it is, I think it would be great to see how a regular 13b would go with the rx8. especially since the 8 is much heavier.

If you got a ceramic turbine, ball bearing turbo with the vanes in the housing to change the A/R ratio, then your turbo would spool up just as fast as a good twin setup, but without nearly as much hassle.

I don't know about that. The Buick GN Twin Turbo Aluminum V6 was pretty sweet. This month's hotrod did an article on a company that is offering the complete engine assy with both turbos.....something like 750HP. The block alone weighs 100 lbs and is rated for 3,000HP!!!! Now that is a sweet engine!!! and suuuuuuper light.
