Turbo xs!!! Why soooo loud??? (video)
wholly mother FUCK!!
i knew the trubo xs exhaust plus midpipe were loud... but i just installed it today and wtf.. its rediculous, with silencers can be ok when i get used to it, but without silencers.. unbeleivable...
any ideas or comments.. how do i keep a low profile with this.. is it possible??

Mine has been on for a while now but not knowing a real comparision to go by, it sounds great, not extreme as others would post it as being. of course my aftermarket BBQ resonators can seem loud when installed...

Same experience here... my midpipe sounded insanely loud at first, but its actually reasonably quiet when its not at WOT, and even at WOT it doesn't sound like I'm attacking a metal shed with a band-saw to me anymore.

I have mine with the cat on.... its still on the loud side, but not bad with the silencers in. Be sure to see about extending the tips before you melt your rear end!

Depending on the size and shape of what's causing the leak, it can decrease flow, but it will vary depending on the severity. Say, if the joint between two pipes is misaligned, there would be a bend (which will contribute to resistance) and turbulence caused by the vacuum left behind when the exhaust is going through the leak.

yea im hoping i can put the stock cat back in, too bad the bolts broke while taking it out, i have to get new bolts.
the reason why i think it leaks is that sometimes i hear a much louder sound than normal..
and the guy i got the exhaust from said he never had a problem with melting the bumper.. but anybody know where to get some nice looking tips? preferably burned tips something like this

I just ordered a foot of stainless tube (3") and had them extend the pipe out before the tips, but most good exhaust shops should have some or at least be able to order what you need.
I have heard some did not have bumber issues as well, but I noticed mine start to get a little discolored and starting to melt after a long trip (~2 1/2 hours), so I got it fixed right after that.

Turbo XS isnt really that loud, you just have to let it burn a bit. After a while it wont be as loud. And hey man its a rotary its supposed to be loud plus you have 0 restrictions with the Turbo XS so its going to be louder than anything else. If it bothers you too much just put a resonator in.
As far as the melting the shrouds, they will melt if it gets hot enough. Just extend them out and voila.
here is what mine sounded like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7c7y5nlrWU
after going turbo it is quieter
