Does anyone have pictures of the trunk or hatch. I had to sell my FD recently because of the new family member, but I'm thinking about jumping into a RX-8. I need trunk space though, so I can fit all the baby toys and gear needed. I think it's going to be around the size of the FD but one can only hope for something larger. BTW, do the dealerships have any brochures yet? I hate to order one with out sitting and driving it. I guess I could order one see and if it doesn't work say nevermind.

 

I had thought I saw/heard something awhile back that the RX could fit 2 sets of clubs in the trunk. Perhaps that was the Mazda 6, but I'm not sure.

I would say trunk space looks like it should be decent, not huge, but not small. The only negatives appear to be the opening, which looks small with a high lift over height.

I hope more specs will be coming soon too

To put things into perspective:
Accord - 13.6 cu. ft
My WRX - 11 cu. ft

The RX-8's trunk is quite larger if it will indeed measure that big when it comes out...

 

Hey thanks for the replies. It sounds as if the trunk will accommodate my needs. I can't wait though. I wish I could see it at the auto show though. Apparently little bitty Dallas doesn't warrant the need to. Oh well, Thanks again.
