Troubleshooting Nightmare

Hi Guys,

I have the weirdest issue... My car will start up extremely rough when it is not driven all day and the engine light comes on and pulls this code "P0301 Generic Cylinder 1 Misfire Detected". The weird part is when I start the car in the morning it doesn't start up as roughly as it does in the afternoon.

In the morning it starts up a little rough and I drive to the bus station, I take the bus to work and come back and when I start my car again in the evening it starts very rough.. Over the weekend with frequent driving it is almost a non-issue and my engine light will even go off at times. What is this madness!?!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Pull an oil sample and send it to Blackstone Labs for testing. There are a variety of possible causes, but the first thing that leaps to mind is that you may have coolant leaking into the housings.
