traded my 8, bye all and thanks for the help
traded my 8 yesterday for an 05 daytona blue 350z.
i had an 04 auto 8 and for the time i've had it , it was just giving me problems.

Both the 8 and the Z are hurt badl
I disagee the 350Z is not as confided as the RX-8 is in automatic.
Because the Z car performance is not based on high revs, its Automatic transmision doesn't suck the life out of the car.
Is it as fast as the 6spd probably not, does it give you as much control? no.
Will the AT Z-car fly from a standstill YES, Will it throw up back in the seat with the AT, Yes!! Will it burn the rear tires from a standstill, as long as you can afford new tires!! Will it do 150+mphs I don't know, but it will do 145mph quickly the radar detector went off before I could do 150mph, I had plenty of pedal left. Will you feel it lacks in power not if you haven't just got Out of a Corvette, 911 turbo, Lambo or Ferriari. Its a different world with Z-car in AT then it is with the 8.
The Z-car in both Trans performs at all rpms levels, not talking what I think, its what I know, still just my opinion. The Rx-8 is a fine automobile but with a AT its life is sucked out, this is not So with the Z-car.

to answer the question ya it is stick and ya it was my mistake on buying the 04 and it being an auto.
i have some stuff for sale for the 8, intake and brand new plugs, that i will post in the buy/sale so check it out
