Yep, you can. It defaults to being on each time you start the car, but turning it off is a simple button push.

True - but, I leave it on pretty much all the time -

That traction control makes a good driver, in many situations, a VERY good driver. Instead of "limiting" my driving, it gives me the foundation to go for it - within reason, of course! :-)

Pressing the button once turns off stability control while holding the button for 5 seconds turns off both stability control and traction control.

What, exactly, is the difference between stability control and traction control? I've heard the terms DSC and TCS, but I always thought they were different names for the same thing.

DSC is dynamic stability control, it provides brake force if the stability of the car is in question. ie you take a corner way too fast.

TCS is Traction control system, it provides brake force if your wheels are spinning.

Short push of the button and DSC is off, Long push (5 seconds) and DSC and TCS is off

Yep, I also keep it on all the time.

One of the ways it makes me a better driver is that I'm able to learn the boundaries of my car without really going over them - as soon as I hit the boundary, the TCS slows me down until I'm going at a better speed. Do that a dozen times and you learn (aha, so when I go 45 on that turn I'll lose traction... interesting).
